How is the tent fabric heat-sealed and spliced

The heat-sealing splicing of tent tarpaulins mainly adopts high-frequency heat-sealing welding technology, which melts and combines the materials through high temperature to achieve a high-strength and high-sealing splicing effect. The specific process is as follows:

1. Heat-sealing splicing principle
High-frequency heat-sealing: Use high-frequency electromagnetic waves to polarize the molecules inside tarpaulin materials such as PVC and generate heat through friction, and achieve molecular-level welding under pressure.
2. Heat-sealing splicing process
Material preparation:
Cutting and layout: Accurately cut the tarpaulin according to the design size of the tent to ensure that the splicing is aligned.
Surface cleaning: Remove oil and impurities to improve the heat-sealing quality.
Heat-sealing operation:
High-frequency heat-sealing:
Place the tent on the workbench of the high-frequency heat-sealing machine and adjust the spacing and pressure of the electrode plates.
Start the high-frequency generator to weld the materials under a pressure of 0.3-0.5MPa, and the welding temperature is 180-220℃.
Hot air welding:
Use a hot air gun to preheat the splicing area until the coating softens.
Quickly pressurize the two layers of tarpaulin to fuse, and form a weld after cooling.
Quality inspection:
Strength test: Use a tensile testing machine to test the tensile strength of the weld (need to be ≥35MPa).
Sealing test: Inflate and pressurize to check whether the weld is leaking.
Appearance inspection: Confirm that the weld is flat, without burning or wrinkles.
3. Advantages of heat-sealing
High strength: The tensile strength of the weld is close to that of the parent material, and can withstand loads such as strong winds and snow.
High sealing: The weld has no pinholes and excellent waterproof performance, which is suitable for long-term outdoor use.
High efficiency: The high-frequency heat-sealing speed can reach 15 meters/minute, which is suitable for large-scale production.
Weather resistance: The anti-aging performance of the weld is consistent with that of the parent material, and the service life is long.
4. Application scenarios of heat-sealing
Large tents: such as stadiums, exhibition centers, etc., require high-strength splicing to withstand bad weather.
Industrial tarpaulins: such as truck tarpaulins, waterproof rolls, etc., require welds to be wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
Emergency rescue: such as disaster relief tents, temporary medical stations, etc., need to be quickly built and reliably sealed.
